Close to the work wall, it does not compete with the rest of the room, which is exactly why it works. The silhouette reads beautifully in person.

With company over, my partner liked it immediately, which almost never happens with furniture purchases. The overall scale works with the furniture we already own.

In the work corner, this workspace solved a space problem without announcing itself. The proportions keep the overall look from feeling flat. There is a nice balance here between visual interest and everyday usefulness.
