This console table has the right amount of presence for the hallway. It adds presence without closing in the hallway.

At home, the photos made it look substantial, and it has that same presence in person. It has a lived-in quality that works better than something overly formal. The color tone is not identical to my screen, but it still blends beautifully with the room.

Placed behind the sofa, it brought a little order to an otherwise awkward area. The finish keeps the overall look from feeling flat. The piece is more substantial than it appears in the photos, which is worth keeping in mind for a smaller room. I like that it does not fight with the other furniture in the living room.
