    The previous piece was all function and no personality; this is a much better middle ground. The proportions keep the overall look from feeling flat. I am glad we went with it.

    Close to my monitor, it does not compete with the rest of the room, which is exactly why it works. The silhouette reads beautifully in person. We have a mix of finishes at home, and this slipped into that mix more easily than expected. It brings a quieter, more finished feeling to the guest room office. The scale makes the surrounding pieces look more balanced too.
