Description
Beyond being a place to rest, The Middleton Rice Bed is a narrative of design history and artisanal skill. The intricate acanthus leaf and rice carvings on the baluster posts are not just decorative; they reflect the bed's 18th-century American inspiration, lending an authentic, heirloom quality. Crafted from durable Khaya wood, a close relative of mahogany, this bed promises longevity and a rich, warm aesthetic that deepens with time. The thoughtful inclusion of removable posts allows you to tailor the bed's silhouette to your space, whether you prefer a grand statement or a slightly more understated elegance. It is designed to be the centerpiece of a traditionally styled bedroom, pairing beautifully with rich textiles and classic furnishings.

Evening primary bedroom is easier to keep tidy. It feels more substantial than I expected. I was worried about the scale, but it landed well in our primary bedroom. It was heavier than I expected.

Front primary bedroom looks more finished. Not too fancy, just right. The guest room is easier to use with it there.

Bedroom style looks more finished. It works with the rest of the room better than I thought it would.

Primary bedroom storage feels less temporary. I like that it feels useful without calling too much attention to itself. I was worried about the scale, but it landed well in our primary bedroom. It was heavier than I expected.

Clean headboard design gives the bedroom a finished look, without making the bedroom feel crowded.

Layered support makes the bed feel secure at night. The piece brings a calm, finished look to the room. I especially like how the queen-size scale keeps the piece from looking plain. I like that it adds structure without becoming the only thing you notice.
