In the center of the room, the sofa looks like it was always meant to be there. The scale works well in a room that already has a lot going on. It brings a quieter, more finished feeling to the main sitting area. I like that it does not fight with the other furniture in the main sitting area. It was the right kind of change for this room.

Near the coffee table, without being flashy, it gives the family room a little more structure and personality. The small details keep the overall look from feeling flat. We have a mix of finishes at home, and this slipped into that mix more easily than expected.

It has enough presence to look decorative and enough function to earn its spot. It has a lived-in quality that works better than something overly formal.
